Headshot of Cuper

Cuper – The modern Holsteiner! He was bred for top-level performance to pass on the modern sport horse type and desired lightness. Cuper is a half-brother to Cedric, the gold medalist at the 2008 Hong Kong Team Olympics and a member of the US team, and a half-brother to Chacco Blue. Cuper has sired three licensed sons and several highly successful show jumpers. As a five- and six-year-old, Cuper was a finalist in the Swedish Championships in Falsterbo. Cuper competed successfully up to 1.45m in show jumping, including at Helsingborg, Borås, Grevagården, and Falsterbo. His sire, Chambertin, from dam line 18A2, was a serial winner in show jumping classes with Jörg Naeve. Chambertin has several wins and placings in advanced-level show jumping. With a jumping index of 154, he shared third place among all German stallions in 2002. His sire, Cambridge, was a member of the Nations Cup team under Ludger Beerbaum. Caletto I was the most successful German stallion in show jumping until 1998, winning, among other things, a bronze medal at the European Championships. He is the sire of several successful stallions, including Cantus. Cuper's dam, D-Livia, herself competed in 160 international show jumping competitions with Sören van Rönne before entering breeding. Cuper is her first foal. Her sire, Landgraf, is one of Germany's most important stallions in both breeding and sport.
