Dressage stallion ZONIK PLUS

As a son of the exceptional sire Zonik, he represents the consistent continuation of the Zack/Blue Hors line, which sets global standards in dressage. Zonik Plus is by Glock's Zonik NOP (by Blue Hors Zack – Blue Hors Romanov), one of the most successful dressage sires of his generation. Zonik himself competed successfully up to Grand Prix level internationally and regularly sires top horses for elite sport as well as licensed sons. Zonik Plus's dam is a daughter of the proven sire Hohenstein, known for rideability, temperament, and longevity. Through Donnerhall further down the pedigree, the dam line is additionally secured with outstanding willingness to perform, suppleness, and Grand Prix genetics. This combination of modern movement quality and classical dressage performance makes Zonik Plus particularly valuable for discerning breeders. Zonik Plus impressed early on with his natural balance, elasticity, and high collection ability. He proved successful in riding horse and dressage horse tests and confirmed his quality throughout his training up to advanced level. His above-average rideability, consistently positive work ethic, and clear, uphill canter are particularly noteworthy – qualities that make him attractive for both sport and breeding. Genetic Traits: Zonik Plus passes on his qualities remarkably consistently: modern types with ample frame, a very good topline, correctly conformed legs, and flowing, clearly structured gaits. His rideability, willingness to learn, and mental stability are especially valued. Additional Information: Breeding for health plays an important role in sport horse breeding. Zonik Plus does not have the necessary health status for recognition by the Hanoverian Verband in one trait (occiput occiput in the right stifle – flattening with a significant structural change). Recent estimates suggest heritability of between 0.21 and 0.25 for this trait in riding horse populations. No further relevant X-ray findings were found on the limbs. Due to the stallion's outstanding athletic performance, the breeding committee has decided to register Zonik Plus in Studbook I of the Hanoverian Verband, regardless of this finding. However, this process will be transparent, and the findings will be disclosed. The breeder will then be responsible for assessing the risks associated with using Zonik Plus.
