About me – Steffen Vornholt For over three decades, I have been passionately dedicated to horse breeding, sport, and the international horse trade. My journey began from 1990 to 1993 with an apprenticeship as a horse breeder specializing in breeding and husbandry at the renowned Fährhof Thoroughbred Stud in Sottrum. Following this, I qualified as a state-certified and licensed insemination technician for horses. Throughout my career, I gained valuable experience at prominent establishments, including St. Ludwig Stud, positions associated with Paul Schockemöhle, the Rüschendorf Stallion Station, and Wiechendorf Stud. These experiences profoundly shaped my understanding of quality, performance, and breeding. In 1996, I finally took the plunge into self-employment with a training and sales stable in Hanover, and in 1999, I opened my first insemination station in Hamburg with the stallions Templer xx and Graf Lehnsherr. Simultaneously, the competition, training, and sales stable quickly became a central component of my business. Another milestone followed in 2013 with the approval of my EU semen depot. In the years that followed, I was able to build a broad portfolio of stallions and now manage the use of over 45 stallions. Today, my focus is on marketing successful and high-performing dressage and show jumping stallions, supporting breeders, and international sales.
